Our Courses
Our goal at A's Driver Ed School is to deliver high-quality education to our students. As an ODOT-approved school, we ensure that our courses meet or exceed state standards. We believe that knowledge is power, and our courses are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to be safe and confident drivers. In addition to our regular courses, we also offer private lessons to meet your specific needs. A’s Driver Ed School LLC
Course fee:
Age 15-17 with driver's permit (Eligible for DMV Waiver) $500*
Age 15-17 with driver's license (Not eligible for DMV Waiver) $700
Age 18 or over upon completion of the course (Not eligible for DMV Waiver) $700
*Fee assistance is available to qualifying students aged 15-17
ODOT Requirements:
• Teens must be 15-17 years old to qualify for the ODOT teen program fee.
• They must complete the course before their 18th birthday and have had their permit for the 6-month requirement.
• They cannot get their driver’s license before they complete the course.
• Students must participate in 30 hours of classroom time (A total of 10 lessons, each 3 hours long)
• Students must participate in 6 hours of behind the wheel driving (Total of 5 lessons, (2 lessons of 1.5 hours and 3 lessons of 1 hour long)).
• Students must participate in 6 hours of in-vehicle observation (Total of 5 lessons, (2 lessons of 1.5 hours and 3 lessons of 1 hour long)).
• Parent involvement is required, including a parent meeting, and documented 5-hour home driving practice.

The course must be completed within a minimum of 35 days and a maximum of 180 days.

ONLY eligible students will receive a completion certificate that waives the driving test/skills test at the DMV. All others will receive a certificate of completion of the course which may be useful in requesting discounts on insurance.

Safe Teen Driver Course - Summer 2026 Class A
Class Schedule | Sessions
The mandatory parent meeting/Orientation will be held on June 8th, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Classroom time: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm
June 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th,
July 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 13th.
Behind The Wheel lessons are typically scheduled on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays with minor adjustments/exceptions throughout the term.

Safe Teen Driver Course - Summer 2026 Class B
Class Schedule | Sessions

Classroom time: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm
July 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th,
August 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 24th.
Behind The Wheel lessons are typically scheduled on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays with minor adjustments/exceptions throughout the term.
